YEAR 3

Welcome back!

We are in the holy month of Ramadan and some students have been fasting; they are trying their best to get through the day. Happy Ramadan and Happy Eid to all families and friends.

Year 3 students will have NAPLAN from the 11th of May to 21st of May. They did complete a NAPLAN practice test in the beginning of this term to get themselves acquainted with the format of the NAPLAN and how to use different tools available on the NAPLAN window.

In English, students have been focusing on the structure of persuasive texts, pronouns, reading and comprehension. Students have been learning strategies to solve subtraction problems and number patterns in Mathematics.

This Term, Year three students were lucky enough to participate in an excursion to watch a play named “The Midnight Gang,” a play by Maryam Master based on the bestselling novel by David Williams. They also participated in ‘RACV Safety Squad’ incursion where they learnt about their safety in different scenarios. In addition to this, children enjoyed participating in various Ramadan and Mother’s Day activities.
